CHROMAKOPIA
My wife scored us tickets to see Tyler, The Creator! It was an amazing show, but you know you're getting older when you start calculating the time it takes to get home instead of how to sneak a selfie with the artist. Halfway through, we looked at each other like, "Is it just me, or is this mosh pit starting to look like a retirement home dance party?" So, we decided to leave a bit early to avoid the traffic—because nothing says "cool concert-goers" like rushing out before th

Acting Coach
She's a quick learner. I don't really have much experience as an acting coach, but it was a lot of fun to coach my eldest in her acting debut for this quick green screen demonstration. Thanks for your help!

Tower is clear
Growing up in a family full of big space nerds we always had model rocket launches at family events. These days I don't get to get back to my hometown to visit very often, so it is always a good time when we break out the ol' launch pad and put oversized engines in little dinky rockets. Sending the kids to chase the rocket down is just a perk of being a real life grown up. Successful chute deployment

Starship
My sister, oldest and I took a trip down to Starbase to see a Starship Launch! It was so exciting to see such a massive space craft so close. You can really get right up next to it at the back side of the launch facility. I highly recommend making the trip if you can Me, my sister, and Alayna The full stack Damaged or missing heat tiles will always be unsettling.

Extra Extra
Our distracted driving (texting) simulator got a write up in a local paper! We developed this application in coordination with Texas A&M and State Farm Insurance. We wanted to create a memorable experience that leaves users with questions and answers about how much time it really takes to answer a simple text message.

Monster Jam!
After a work trip overseas my girlfriend surprised me with Monster Jam tickets. At first I was a little apprehensive, thinking that was some redneck shit. I was pleasantly surprised to find out how much I enjoy giant trucks hitting giant ramps and doing giant flips. Is it some redneck shit? It sure is! But I am a convert.

Oh the places you'll go
Starting out in this industry I didn't expect to become a world traveler by sitting behind a computer. I remember my first European trip on the company dime. I could hardly believe it until I showed up to the job site where a lot of equipment had been prepared to perform a heavy lift of an aircraft engine needed for my team to get some much needed high detailed reference for an Augmented Reality Maintenance application we were delivering. I think this snap catches the moment

...and so it begins
This is the required first post about how I super duper promise to post more in the future and on a schedule. I am very likely not going to do that though. I will write blog posts as I feel I find, see, or do something interesting enough to warrant a post. A brief history of Brandon Faughnan: I started my professional journey as a level designer on Tron: Evolution. Designing multiplayer levels of which I would later end up doing much of the art for since I was later moved t
